the first, a scabbard slide of rectangular form, carved in relief with a pair of sinuous chilong, one emerging from the lower edge of the slide, its head twisted back to confront the other, each with incised detailing on the face, neck and legs, the back with an aperture for suspension, the jade of translucent green color with russet areas; the second, a sword guard of lozenge section, the lower edge slightly tapering to a sharp point, well carved on each side with a sinuous chilong, its head sharply turned back on its twisting body supporting on muscular limbs, the stone of translucent green color with russet areas (2)

Compared to the catalogue illustration, the jades are darker. Both are in overall good condition.
