carved around the body with one row of overlapping lotus petals between archaistic scroll around the rim and a rope twist band around the foot, the central petal enclosing a shou character flanked by two petals enclosing flowers, set with a long curved spout issuing from a dragon's head opposite a C-shaped handle terminating in a tab with a clambering chilong, the cover a lotus leaf surmounted by a reticulated knop of two confronting chilong, the jade of mottled celadon gray tones with whitish inclusions and black speckled areas (2)

Condition

There is a polished chip to corner of an upturned petal on the cover. There are minor nicks and small chips around the rim of the cover, ewer, foot and spout. There are also minor nicks to the edges of the lotus petals.
