The larger piece has a star-crack on the back below the waist, one fork of the crack extending up to the topknot and the other extending down to the tip of the over skirt. There is a crack to the under skirt approximately 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm) long. The finger tips and fishing pole have restored breaks. There are scattered chips to the edges. The smaller piece has a break to the base, chips to the end of Shancai's scarf and the tips of the reeds. The Guanyin has a restored break around the neck and scattered chips to the edge of the cowl and robe.
