delicately painted on the exterior with three stylized lotus sprays alternating with floral arabesques and leaves, the interior with a single stylized floral spray within double circles, six-character mark in underglaze blue

Condition

The bowl is in overall good condition. There are two burst bubbles at the rim with associated staining, and an iron spot to the interior.

The mark on this bowl is quite unusual, though a similar mark can be found on a Yongzheng mark and period blue and white bowl with bats and clouds illustrated in Treasures in the Royalty: The Official Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, Shanghai, 2003, p. 164.
