Set with 48 oval-shaped rubies weighing approximately 32.75 carats, spaced by links set with round diamonds weighing approximately 8.55 carats, length 7½ inches, signed Winston and HW. With signed box.
Condition
In good condition overall. The rubies are a richly saturated medium-deep pinkish to purplish red, slightly more deep in color than illustrated in the printed catalogue. Moderately included with examples of surface-reaching inclusions and cavities throughout, only visible under magnification. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Highly flexible and well-made. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 62159 stating that an excess of 50% of the rubies tested at random are of Burmese origin (Mong Hsu Type), with indications of heating.
