The polished gold links separated by ropetwist segments, supporting a fringe composed of seven graduating emerald beads measuring approximately 19.6 by 14.8 mm to 9.7 to 8.2 mm, accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 1.45 carats, further set with 23 cabochon emeralds, length 14¾ inches, with French assay and maker's marks; circa 1945.
Condition
In good condition. The emerald drops are a medium-light bluish green, moderately to heavily included and transparent to semi-transparent. Several exhibit surface-reaching fractures and cavities. The cabochon emeralds are decorative in quality. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, predominantly SI clarity. Maker's mark for Verger on the underside, near the clasp tongue. Fitted with a safety closure. Flexible and moves well.
