Centering a step-cut emerald measuring approximately 8.2 by 7.8 by 5.7 mm, framed and accented by rose, single and old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately .80 carat, size 5¼, with French assay marks; circa 1900.

Condition

In good condition, with some patination and wear to the gold commensurate with age. The lively emerald, weighing approximately 2.50 - 3.00 carats, is a medium-deep very slightly bluish green, lightly included with some abrading to the facet junctions visible under magnification and a small chip at one corner. There is a small surface reaching inclusion on the pavilion. The diamonds are approximately I-J color, predominantly SI clarity. The assay mark is on the underside of the shank. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 61926 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: insignificant to minor, type: traditional.
