Paying tribute to the hip-hop artist's 10 years in the music industry - the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Jay-Z 10th Anniversary Limited Edition series consists of 20 timepieces in platinum, 30 in pink gold and 50 in stainless steel, each with Jay-Z's signature to the back. A further tribute to this anniversary is the diamond-set 10 on the dial.

Audemars Piguet presented the first Royal Oak in 1972. The designer of the octagonal case with 8 screws was Gerald Genta. He drew his inspiration fro𝐆m a traditional diver's helmet characterised by the octagonal bezel.  

The Offshore series was created in 1989 in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the Royal Oak. After that several special series were created for famous sportsmen, actors and, as in this case, singers.
