The Lange Zeitwerk model is the first A. Lange & Söhne mechanical wristwatch to feature a truly outstanding digital numeral display. For the time three disks are used, one for the hour and two for the minutes. It took Lange & Söhne more than two years to develop a mechanism to make the disks jump and not turning slowly as for example usual date displays do. The very symmetrical appearance of the dial makes the design strict but straightforward. Horizontally it shows the digital time bridge and vertically the analogue power reserve and the constant second. Thanks to the sapphire display back one can see the movement consisting of 415 single parts. The model is produced in platinum, as well as white and pink gold, as in the present watch.
