Catalogue Note

With a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming sale on January 24th 1992.

Utilizing the same hand-engraved and skeletonized movement at the reference 3883, the Ref.3885 featured a gold and translucent cobalt blue enamel chapter ring to highli♓ght the c𓆉raftsmanship. Combining two of the rarest and most time-consuming skilled arts of the era, skeletonization and enameling, research shows only 12 previous examples of this model have previously appeared at auction.
