Condition

Executed on blue wove paper. The extreme edges only of the sheet have been laid onto a mount which has a large rectangular opening on the verso, allowing all but the edges of the verso to be seen when unframed. There is a light crease in the sheet in the upper right corner and one along the right edge in the centre. Apart from a circa 1 by 1cm spot of retouching in the sofa in the lower left quadrant and another of approximately the same size in the figure's ankle, a light, small stain below the figure's right elbow, and some scattered tiny spots of foxing, this work is in good overall condition. Presented in a simple gilt frame, the edges of the sheet covered by the mat, under glass.
