Oil on board laid down on cradled panel. The panel is sound and there is no evidence of retouching under UV light. There is a pinhole to the centre of the left edge and one to the centre of the right edge. There are some fine lines of shrinkage to the right part of the upper edge and some tiny specks of paint loss in places. There is a historic diagonal crease to the lower right corner from before the work was laid down and which is visible in the catalogue illustration. This work is in overall good condition and has a lovely richly textured surface.
