Provenance

Private Collection, Rome (acquired directly from the artist in 1970)
Thence by descent to the present owner

Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, attached to a board along all four edges, and all four extreme edges of the recto are concealed by the overmount. The sheet is slightly time-stained, and very slightly undulated in places, inherent to the artist's process. There are some minor lines of surface abrasion along the left edge, most probably original. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condtion. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the blues slightly darker in the original.
