Condition
The panel is sound. UV examination reveals a small area of fluorescence towards the centre of the composition which does not appear to be consistent with retouching. A close inspection reveals two horizontal hairline cracks barely visible to the naked eye along the left edge, inherent to the panel. This work is in very good original condition.
Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the colours are brighter in the original.
