Condition

Attractive black patina with bronze tones. There is some white residue to the base. There are a few small spots of oxidisation to the proper right leg and some dirt in the crevices. This work is in overall good condition.

Catalogue Note

A cast of this model won the sculpture prize at the Venice Biennale in 1956. Other known casts are in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome, in the Museo Emilio Greco in Orvieto and the Storm King Art Center in the United States. The original plaster of this model is in the Museo Emilio Greco in Sabaudia, Italy.
