Condition
Both covers and tureens are very misfired, causing significant discoloration and grittiness to the glaze; the covers have warped in the firing and as a result are somewhat ill-fitting. One cover had been fixed to the tureen with an adhesive material at some point and there are some remnants of the adhesive on both the cover and the rim of the tureen. There are some typical chips and losses to the applied decoration around the tops of the nests; a small chip to the tail of each bird and several small minor chips to the edges of the bases of both.
