This work is in surprisingly good condition given its period. The canvas is unlined. The paint layer is stable. The stretching is slightly uneven above and around the head of the Saint. Under ultraviolet light, retouches are visible around the edges, in the neck on the left side, and in few other isolated spots in the sky. The figure itself seems to be in very healthy state. There are no structural damages and the losses are isolated and the restorations are competent. It is recommended that the work be hung as is, unless one wanted to re-examine the stretching and the visible waves to the canvas.
