The gold reeded lid applied with a floral motif, set with calibré-cut rubies and pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a mirror, two powder compartments, a lighter, a lipstick holder and a collapsible side watch with Roman numerals, measuring approximately 85 x 70 x 15mm, signed Ostertag, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, mechanical movement, total gross weight approximately 287 grams.
Condition
Please note that the tortoiseshell comb is waiting for its CITES licence and will be in Geneva after the sale. We will arrange to deliver it to the buyer as soon as possible.
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Signed Ostertag Paris, maker's mark, numbered 39149. Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Watch movement stamped Swiss made. Rubies well matched in colour, with some small nicks, scratches and abrasions. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 287 grams.
