Designed as a bird of paradise on a gold branch, the body composed of a polished emerald, carved sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds, the head set with a carved sapphire, the eye and beak set with brilliant- and single-cut diamonds, the gold chain tail embellished brilliant-cut diamonds, signed Sterlé, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Signed Sterlé Paris, maker's marks, numbered 7.707. Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Translucent emerald of light saturation with several inclusions, some surface reaching. Sapphires of strong saturation, with some small nicks and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.00 - 1.50 carats, on average G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, some discolouration on the tail. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 57 grams.
