Description

  • Gold, black and white enamel
The compact decorated in a reeded pattern highlighted with black enamel, opening to reveal a mirror and a powder compartment, measuring approximately 85 x 65 x 12mm, signed Cartier, numbered; the lighter of textured gold decorated with a black enamel 'gravure chinoise' pattern, accented with white enamel, measuring approximately 85 x 65 x 10mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay mark, fitted case signed Cartier, gross weight approximately 235 grams.

Condition

Compact signed Cartier Paris, Londres, New York, numbered 4712 and 01844. Lighter signed Cartier Paris, Made in France, numbered C3577. French assay mark for 18 carat gold. The compact in overall good condition, the mirror showing no evidence of damage, the enamel with few very small abrasions and pits. Few scratches on the enamel on the lighter. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use and age. Total gross weight approximately 135 grams.
