Description

The central jewel set with circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds, opening to reveal a rectangular dial applied with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, on open work straps set with calibré-cut sapphires and circular-cut diamonds, length approximately 175mm, mechanical movement signed Longines.
Condition
Manual winding movement in running condition at time of cataloguing, please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee future working condition of watches. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense.
Movement signed Longines Watch Co., numbered 5283137. Sapphires overall well matched in colour, some scratches and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 16.50 - 18.50 carats, on average G-H colour and VS (few SI) clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, dial with signs of ageing, glass deficient. Gross weight approximately 55 grams.
