Description
- Buccellati
- gold, sapphire, emerald, diamond, opal
The pendant of openwork design, centring on an opal weighing approximately 11.00 carats, decorated by circular-cut diamonds, emeralds and sapphires, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, completed by a gold link-chain, length approximately 400mm, pendant detachable, with brooch fitting, signed.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the opal is translucent to semi-transparent, of medium intense sky blue colour with strong green, yellow and orange play-of-colour. Sapphires and emeralds in the surround are of medium deep intense blue and medium green colour, with general surface abrasions or chips to their crowns under loupe check, but not noticeable to naked eyes. Diamonds are about F to G colours, VS2 to SI clarity. Signed Buccellati.
Condition: Vintage mount, karat yellow gold chain is detachable and the pendant with pin fitting can be worn as separate brooch. The opal has minor internal cracks, not surface reaching, observed under transmitted lighting. Overall in good condition.
