The articulated necklace composed of gold reeded plaques, set with circular-cut rubies, sapphires, emeralds and diamonds, length approximately 365mm; and two pairs of ear clips designed as leaves, the first pair decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, the second with similarly cut stones and circular-cut emeralds, each signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Necklace: signed Van Cleef & Arpels, maker's mark P&Fils, numbered 75610, stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold and platinum. Ear clips (with emeralds): signed Van Cleef & Arpels, maker's mark P&Fils, numbered 74.842, stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Diamond ear clips: one signed with Van Cleef & Arpels, one with VCA, maker's mark GL, numbered 85976, stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Coloured stones well matched. Diamonds bright and lively. Clasp on necklace secure, safety catch below. Ear clips all with retractable posts. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 149 grams.
