Set with a plaque of Indian inspiration, decorated with variously shaped rubies, sapphires, emeralds and diamonds, on a cultured pearl necklace accented with gold rondelles and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 360mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Please note that the diamonds of yellowish tints have not been tested for natural colour.
Signed Cartier, numbered, 642385, French maker's mark for Cartier. Stamped with French assay marks for gold, inscribed 750 for 18 carat gold. Cultured pearls well matched in shape, measuring from approximately 5.50 x 5.45 x 5.35 to 6.50 x 6.50 x 6.65mm, of cream body colour, some with rosé overtone, good luster and a few blemishes. Gemstones of medium strong saturation, with few inclusions, few surface reaching. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.00 - 6.00 carats, G - I colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Sliding clasp secure. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with light use. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 148 grams.
