Condition
The table legs are slightly askew, presumably inherent to the artistic process. There is some light wear to the extreme edges resulting in some minor chips. Otherwise this work is in good original condition.

Catalogue Note
Table for Two was originally created in 1944, first shown that year in Man Ray’s exhibition “Objects of My Affection” at the Circle Gallery, Hollywood. Man Ray described it in his handmade album of the same name as “casseroles in the role of personages”, possibly a reference to his relationship with Juliet, whom he would marry in 1946 in a double wedding ceremony with Max Ernst and Dorothea Tanning.
