Portrait of man: on uncradled panel that is bevelled all around. there is excellent preservation of the paint surface with nice impasto and lovely retention of detail. examination under UV light reveals a few very small retouches to scarf and hand. a few small retouches scattered in background. Portrait of woman: painted on canvas that has been laid down on uncradled and bevelled panel. the paint surface has been pressed as a result. despite this, the detail has been very well retained throughout. under UV light: the varnish fluoresces unevenly. there are a few tiny retouches in background to right of face. a few others on blue drapery near bottom edge and on turban. These paintings are presentable and can be hung as is. Offered in git wood frames.
