Description

- Ten Works by Ten Painters
- Screenprints in color
- sheets: 650 by 538 mm 25 5/8 by 21 1/8 in
The complete portfolio, comprising ten screenprints (seven in color), one with collage, 1964, numbered 122/500 on the justification, on various papers, eight printed by Ives-Stillman, New Haven, Connecticut and with their blindstamp, published by the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, Connecticut, contained in the original paper folders, cloth-covered portfolio case and original corrugated cardboard packing materials (10 prints)
Condition
With full margins and fresh colors, the prints are in good condition apart from off-printing onto the verso of the paper covered folders. Minor foxing throughout the original portfolio case, which has discolored, presumably from prolonged storage in the corrugated cardboard packing materials.
Additional imperfections to individual prints include:
Motherwell: A 1/4 by 1 inch area of discoloration on the right sheet edge at bottom.
Stella and Larry Poons: Corrugated cardboard backboard stain showing through from the verso to the recto and discoloring the sheets.
