Pile ranges from original 1/4 inch with areas of foldwear and scattered through the field low to knotheads. Dark browns oxidized to knotheads thus creating a relief effect in the border. Small repair hole in field. Some repiling to oxidized aubergine area. Small reweaves along lower end edge with white fringing so very visible. Upper end with original kilim end finish. It seems original polychrome selvages are now underneath a dark brown wool overcasting. Extremely supple handle, lustrous wool, saturated color. A hanging sleeve sewn on the reverse of the upper end.
