Pile generally low to knotheads overall, some dark browns completely oxidized and showing foundation with some dark browns also reknotted. Repiling and reweaving scattered throughout red field and also a 6in. by 4in. area in upper right corner of arch rewoven; well executed. A 1/4in. by 1/4in. hole in arch. Lower right corner with small reweave. Smaller scattered repairs. Partially rewoven outer side guard stripes. Reselvaged. Ends with remnants of dark brown outer guard stripe, uneven and fraying; recommend securing. Upper end with hanging sleeve sewn on reverse. Very supple handle, lustrous wool and good vibrant color.
