Pile ranges from approximately 1/6th of an inch in mostly border and central field, low to knotheads in areas of foldwear. Original wool single cord selvages, now slightly fraying in areas. Some later overcasting. Upper right corner with very small reweave. Both ends with some losses to outer guardborders, now secured with chain stitching. Reverse with some old moth damage. Robust weave, in good overall condition. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements.
