Condition

Pile generally low to knotheads with areas in border with approx. 1/8in. Dark browns oxidized with some repiling and tinting in lowest brown partial medallion. Repiling to other browns. Rewoven end guard borders; very well executed. Some original selvages intact with some later overcasting and reselvaging. The original selvage is two-cord wrapped in medium blue wool. Very supple handle, iconic design, sound fabric and condition.
