the baluster-form vase with a single handle, the body brightly painted with a pattern of stylized tulips and cornflowers reminiscent of Iznik pottery of the 17th century, the handle and rim with colorful interwoven bands, with black cypher of Alexander III
Provenance
Acquired by the current owner's grandfather in the Soviet Union in the late 1920s/early 1930s.

overall very good condition, a few tiny spots of wear to gilding on rim
