the wood surface of the icon gilded and engraved with decorative details along borders, hems, halos; the beaded cover loose, embroidered with glass beads, pastes, and imitation pearls, the ground backed in part with gilt leather
Condition
the icon bright and attractive, with some scattered areas of loss, primarily at the corners, and discoloration to gilding; the cover lacking most of the outer border beads and with some of the larger pastes lacking
