of bombé cartouche form, decorated with champlevé blue enamel and foliate strapwork, the cover inset with the gold medal showing king's profile surrounded by emblematic figures of the arts, the reverse with the Altes Museum topped by Apollo and with a lyre flanked by griffins below, the medal signed C. Pfeuffer Fec. and Jachtman F.
Condition
small scratches to medal front, enamel losses throughout with some areas of blue paint filled in, otherwise good condition
