comprising: 3 square glass bottles, 2 circular glass jars, 3 circular glass boxes in sizes, 3 rectangular glass boxes in sizes, 1 small square glass box, 1 square leather vesticase with striker, 1 square leather box enclosing glass inkwell, and 1 cylindrical case containing a shaving brush, all with engine-turned silver lids with a Rococo cartouche engraved PEDRO II under a crown, all in a fitted leather box, the cover mounted with silver foliate monogram ALCB under a crown, stamped Franz Hiesse & Söhne Wien
Condition
some with minor nicks to cut-glass, the inkwell and vesticase with cracking to leather around the hinge and some rusting to the metal interiors, the leather case with some scratches and light wear-and-tear; overall good, complete condition

Dom Pedro II (1825-1891), nicknamed "the Magnanimous", was the second and last ruler of the Empire of Brazil, reigning for over 58 years. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he was the seventh child of Emperor Dom Pedro I of Brazil and Empress Dona Maria Leopoldina.
