the oval base supporting a stem with bands of enameled foliage and flanked by satyr heads, the snail-shaped body set with lapis panels, the enameled scroll handle terminating in a bearded-mask

Condition

lapis with some cracks and small repairs, enamel with minor losses and some rubbing to gilt painted decoration, an openwork enameled band behind the snail head is slightly popping up, ewer is pushed down on one side and tilts slightly, otherwise good
