the first of baluster form, the base embossed and chased with dolphins and seaweed, the sides applied with grapevine, rim applied with acanthus, the hinged cover with Bacchic putti finial; the second of vase form, the sides and handle engraved with bright-cut sprigs of fern and ginkgo

Condition

the silver ewer with two minor holes in the cast seaweed (they appear to be casting flaws), the gilt ewer with minor ding to neck, overall good condition
