Catalogue Note

The arms on the larger are those of Fitzwilliam impaling Ponsonby for William, 4th Earl of Fitzwilliam (1748-1833) and his first wife Lady Charlotte Ponsonby, second daughter of William, 2nd Earl of Bessborough, by Lady Caroline Cavendish, his wife, daughter of William, 3rd Duke of Devonshire. William 4th Earl was briefly Lord Lieutenant of Ireland 1795.
