the inkwell cover cast as a military satchel and cap, the seal as a standing infantryman with matrix engraved with initals BGP (Cyrillic) beneath a nobleman's coronet, the bell cast as a drum with tripod bugle handle, on a rectangular base with pen tray, the front applied with a military trophy and engraved in Russian 'To Boris Gavrilovich Prokopeus/ from his loving comrades and colleagues', 84 standard
Condition
With evidence of having previously been gilt. The mounted trophy slightly loose, the wire to 4/10 of the fencing missing, 5 fence posts loose but attached, one or two very slightly bent. The seal with small dents and losses to the edge of the underside of the base.
