painted by Natasha Gershfeld after a 1921 design by Zinaida Kobyletskaya, the cavetto with a radiating five pointed star above the slogan 'Strength in Unity / 1921' in Russian, within a pink and green foliate and geomteric wreath, the reverse signed NG (Cyrillic) and inscribed in Russian 'after the painting by the artist Kobyletskii', with blue overglaze factory mark dated 1921 and green underglaze Imperial cypher for Nicholas II dated 1896

Condition

Excellent condition. Small chips of paint loss concentrated to cavetto edge and rim of the lower left quarter of the front, the underside of the foot with light wear consistent with age and use, the glaze over the green cypher scratched.
