Condition
The background and border of the icon have been stripped down to the levkas, some loss of levkas along the borders of the icon, a large blister in the lower right corner, some loss of pait throughout the painting, many areas of retouching and repainting to the river and to the two river Gods, to the faces, garments of the figures, and to the body of Christ, large areas of repainting to the rocks and to the figure of God the father in the upper part. A vertical crack running from top to bottom in the middle of the panel. The back panel has been reinforced at a later date. Prospective buyers are advised to view first-hand.
