The canvas has not been lined. There is a small tear circa 2 by 4cm in the lower left quadrant of the work (visible in the catalogue illustration) which would benefit from professional restoration. Ultra-violet light reveals only some very minor scattered spots of retouching, primarily towards the lower-right corner. This work is otherwise in good overall condition. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
