Condition
(the first) SURFACE: There is a crack in the palette running two inches long in the lower half of the work, old varnish, surface dirt and accreations, general craquelure throughout consistent with aging. UNDER UV: Dots and dashes of dark crackle fill (most likely an older restoration).
(the second) Original canvas is not lined. SURFACE: In good condition; scattered craquelure, surface dirt, partial old varnish (probably applied by the artist). UNDER UV: No signs of inpainting.
