Persian manuscript on paper, 67 leaves, each with a panel of 6 lines of text in black nasta'liq script, further smaller text in the surrounding fields with 1 key word picked out in gold, set into album leaves with outer margins filled with scenes of flora and fauna in gold, catchwords indicate some leaves lacking, various leaves with corner pieces filled with scrolling flowers, brown morocco binding with red doublures decorated with filigree-work, exterior with gilt-stamped cornerpieces and central medallions, with flap  

Condition

In fair overall condition, binding worn with repair, some leaves loose, others semi-detached, pages generally clean, some stains and creasing, as viewed.

The present manuscript contains Persian ghazals by Amir Aq-Malik Shahi Sabzevari (d.1452) in the central panel with his pen name ‘Shahi’ written in gold, and Muhammad Ibn Yusif Shirazi's pen-name 'Ahli' (d. 1535) in the margins.
