Description

  • Ink on paper, leather binding
Arabic manuscript on paper, 116 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, 27 lines to the page, written in black naskh script within cloud bands against a gold ground throughout, verses separated by pointed gold roundels, surah headings in gold thuluth against varying coloured backgrounds, opening illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, floral lacquer binding, with slipcase, signed on the inside front board, dated on the inside back board

Condition

In good overall condition, slight wear to lacquer binding, pages clean and colours vivid, as viewed.
