Description
- ink and gold on paper, leather binding
Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 208 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 17 lines to the page, written in neat naskh script in black ink, interlinear gold rules, verses separated by pointed gold florets, catchwords, surah headings in red thuluth within illuminated foliate panels, illuminated marginal sprays throughout, f.1b and f.2a with index of surahs in blue and red, followed by illuminated double page of prayers, followed by illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, floral lacquer binding
Condition
In good overall condition, minor abrasions to lacquer binding, pages clean and illumination bright, as viewed.
