Description
- Ceramic
with raised central boss and sloping, everted rim, moulded and decorated in lustre, the boss painted with a solid lustre border enclosing a foliate design, the cavetto with palmettes interspersed with leafy tufts and grided rhombus, the border with moulded leaves highlighted in blue, scattered grapess and stylised chain pattern motifs, the back with concentric lines and stylised leaves
Condition
In good condition, lustre strong and bright, intact, the external rim with some abrasion and one small chip, internal rim also with some abrasion, drill hole for hanging, set in old metallic mounts for hanging, the reverse scratched, hairline crack on rim, as viewed.
