Description

the silver-hilt in the form of a horse's head with engraved parcel-gilt details, set with gemstone eyes and on harness, foliate scroll form cross-guard, the watered-steel blade with central ridge, the velvet covered wood-scabbard set with openwork mounts

Condition

In good general condition, the silver hilt with some scratches and rubbing to gilding, minor chip near top of head, stones in eyes possibly later replacements, the blade with some erosion and oxidisation, the scabbard a later replacement, as viewed.
