Overall the condition of the alabaster is good with wear and some minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor chips and nicks consistent with the softness of the stone including around the teeth, the jawbone and around the nostrils. The bridge of the nose may have been restored. There is dark veining visible on the surface consistent with the material. There are several small holes drilled into the surface including around the eyes, and there is a slot on the top of the head in which something was formally mounted
