Heavily altered. Lovely fabric. The original plastic zip at the rear neck but later metal zip added to left side seam. Seam pull at waist darts and side seams. Side seams on skirt have been let out and hem lowered. To enlarge the waist rough godets of matching fabric have been inserted. Large patches of fabric likewise inserted at the underarm areas to give extra width. The sleeves have been cut and inset to remove perspiration stained areas. Slighlty darkened areas of silk are just still visible at the sleeve tops. The apron-like overskirt is crudely made so may be from another part of the dress or a matching separate that has been utlised to make the over skirt to partly conceal the large patches at the waist. b.92cm, 36in, w.76cm, 30in hip measurements : 95 cm
